Dual Credit Programs with Ontario Secondary Schools
Laurier, in partnership with Ontario School Boards, may offer enriched
university preparatory courses in some high schools whereby students may receive dual credit for the course. The dual credit would be
applied toward both the Ontario Secondary School Diploma as well as toward an
undergraduate degree program at Laurier, should the student choose to register at Laurier.
Students will be informed in advance by the individual school of the ability to gain university credit for a particular course. Students who successfully complete the enriched course with a minimum overall average of 75%, as well as a final exam grade of at least 75%, will receive a certificate from the secondary school. This certificate will be presented after students have accepted an Offer of Admission to Wilfrid Laurier University. The Admissions Office will add the transfer credit to the student record.
