Academic Program Mode of Delivery
For any academic program (degree, certificate, diploma or other credit-bearing credential), students will be able to complete all program requirements in the official program modality if they follow the typical length and scheduling patterns of the program. The University does not guarantee that students will be able to complete all program requirements in the official program modality if the student follows an alternate path.
In-Person Program
Students can complete their program primarily through in-person courses. Required courses in the degree
are offered in in-person, hyflex, or in-person hybrid mode. Programs may include a maximum of 1.0 credit of required courses offered virtual synchronous, virtual asynchronous or virtual hybrid mode, of which no more than 0.5 credit may be within the program's required courses for Year 1 of study. Sufficient in-person electives are available for
the student to complete their degree. Programs may choose if they will require all required courses to be
taken in-person, or if they will allow students to complete required courses in alternate modes of
delivery.
Virtual Asynchronous Program
Students can complete their program fully through virtual asynchronous courses. All required courses in
the degree are offered as virtual asynchronous. Sufficient virtual asynchronous electives are available for
the student to complete their degree.
Virtual Synchronous Program
Students can complete the required components of their program through virtual synchronous courses.
Some virtual asynchronous electives may be required to complete the degree. Sufficient virtual
synchronous and virtual asynchronous electives are available for the student to complete their degree.
Hybrid Program
There are two categories of hybrid program: In-Person Hybrid and Virtual Hybrid.
- In-Person Hybrid Program
Students can complete their degree through a combination of in-person and virtual course modes. A minimum of 50% of required courses are offered in-person, hyflex, or in-person hybrid mode. The combination of modes of delivery is clearly communicated to potential students. - Virtual Hybrid Program
Students can complete their degree through a combination of virtual course modes. A minimum of 50% of required courses are offered virtual synchronous or virtual hybrid mode. The combination of modes of delivery is clearly communicated to potential students.
