Program Regulations
- 3.1 Students must complete the required courses for the BEd program in which they are enrolled. Note that the Field Practicum Days (EU450A and EU450B) requires students to be in the schools for one day on scheduled weeks throughout the periods when university courses are being completed.
- 3.2 Students must successfully complete five full-time block practicum placements, the Laurier Professional Placement, and an alternative placement prior to graduation.
- 3.3 Students must attend all portions of the Teacher Candidate Orientation (EU453) course at the start of Year 1 and Year 2, and all portions of Transition to Teaching (EU454) at the end of Year 2.
- 3.4 Student must provide a recent
and valid Vulnerable Sector check,
indicate that it has been received in
Navigator, provide a copy to be viewed
by the Faculty, and provide a copy to
their Laurier Partner School upon request. Individuals with a police

Laurier Partner School and will not be
able to fulfill the program practicum and
placement requirements. Any
individuals who have not received a
cleared Vulnerable Sector Check prior
to their first scheduled day at their
Laurier Partner School will be
de-registered from classes since
coursework is required to be tied to
practicum experiences.
