Certificate in Intermediate Economics 2
The Undergraduate Certificate in Intermediate Economics 2 consists of 2.0 credits. It may be completed on a full-time or part-time basis.
Required courses (1.5 credit):
EC370 - Intermediate Microeconomics II
EC390 - Intermediate Macroeconomics II
EC395 - Applied Econometrics
Elective course (0.5 credit):
0.5 credit in Economics (EC) at the 300 or 400 level (See Note 4)
1. Admission to the Certificate requires previous credit EC270, EC290, EC295; or the Certificate in Intermediate Economics 1 from Laurier; or equivalent for external applicants. External equivalents must have been completed at the university level.
2. The certificate may be completed only once.
3. All courses (2.0 credits) must be completed at Laurier.
4. All credit for the Intermediate Economics Certificate 2 must be independent from the Intermediate Economics Certificate 1. If prior completion of Certificate 1 exists, this elective requirement must be fulfilled by a separate course.
4. Not available to students registered in any program offered by the Department of Economics at Laurier.
5. Not available to students having previously graduated with an undergraduate or graduate degree in an Economics discipline.
5. May not be awarded to visiting students (Exchange of Letter of Permission)
