Honours BA Computer Science

The Honours BA Computer Science consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits of which not more than 6.0 may be taken at the 100 level. A minimum of 10.0 Computer Science credits is required, with 9.0 being at the senior level.

3.5 additional senior Computer Science credits, which must include at least 1.5 credit at the 400 level (See Note 3)

2.0 elective credits outside the Faculty of Science (See Note 4)

Program Notes

  1. Progression into Year 2 requires a minimum GPA of 5.00 in CP104 and CP164 and an overall GPA 
    of 4.00. Progression into subsequent years requires a minimum overall GPA of 4.00. Graduation requires a minimum GPA of 5.00 in Computer Science courses, and a minimum overall GPA of 5.00.
  2. Based on the results of the Calculus Preparation Evaluation (CPE), an entering student may be required to complete MA102 prior to completing MA103.
  3. Electives must include at least 3.5 senior CP credits, among which at least 1.5 credit must be at the 400-level (HI132 is recommended). Electives must not include UU201.
  4. Electives must also include at least 2.0 credits outside the Faculty of Science. 
  5. Program is available at Waterloo, Brantford, and Milton campuses.
