Honours BA Environmental Studies in Combination with another Honours BA Program
The combined Honours BA program consists of 20.0 credits, of which at least 8.5 credits must be in Environmental Studies.
[Note that if GESC courses are taken, they must count as Environmental Studies electives; they may not count as non-Geography/Environmental Studies elective courses.]
The program must include the following:
Year 1: ES110, GG101, GG102
Year 2: ES296, ES297, GESC251, GESC254, GESC258, GG281, GG282, GESC290
Year 3: ES392, GESC399, one of: ES393, ES394, GESC391, GESC398; and one of: GESC360, GG333, GG351, GG355, GG361, GG368, GG369
Year 4: GESC450*, or 1.0 credit from: ES401*, ES496, ES498, GESC451, GESC465*, GESC493, GESC494, GG462, GG480, GG481, GG482, GG486, GG489
Degree Program Electives:
An additional 11.5 credits toward the degree total of 20.0 credits, which includes the second honours BA major.
- Progression into Year 2 requires a minimum GPA of 5.00 in ES110, GG101 and GG102, and a minimum overall GPA of 4.00. Progression into subsequent years requires a minimum overall GPA of 4.00. Graduation requires a minimum GPA of 7.00 in and all ES/GESC/GG electives taken towards the Honours Environmental Studies program, and a minimum overall GPA of 5.00.
- Students may not obtain a combined major in both Geography, and Environmental Studies.
