Honours BA Digital Media and Journalism: Advanced Standing Conestoga College Journalism Diploma Graduates

This 2+2 pathway is for students who graduated from Conestoga College’s Journalism program in 2019 or later. Graduates of the two-year Conestoga college Journalism diploma program who achieved an average grade of 75% or higher in the Conestoga program will complete the following pathway for completion of the DMJ degree:

The Honours DMJ program consists of 20.0 credits, of which not more than 7.0 credits may be at the 100 level. Conestoga Journalism graduates meeting admission requirements are excluded from completion of Conestoga’s postgraduate certificate in Contemporary Media Arts, and will be granted 10.0 advanced standing credits including:
DMJN202, DMJN204, DMJN252, DMJN253, DMJN313, DMJN319,
1.0 junior UU credit and 6.0 senior UU credits.

Students must complete 10.0 credits at Laurier including:

2.0 credits of Foundations: BF190, BF199, BF290, BF299
7.0 credits of DMJN: DMJN101, SOJE120/ID120, DMJN208, DMJN211, DMJN214, DMJN222/SOJE222, DMJN307, DMJN308, DMJN340, DMJN328, DMJN420, DMJN422, DMJN423*
1.0 credit of senior electives
