Physics (PC/CP Dept)
Honours BSc Programs and Minor:
The Department of Physics and Computer Science is conducting a review of its program offerings, and this has resulted in the elimination of the BSc Photonics program after all currently enrolled students have graduated. Laurier is no longer admitting new students into the Photonics program for September 2015. As an applicant to the Photonics program, if you qualified for admission into Photonics you will automatically be given an offer to the BSc Physics program. The Physics and Photonics programs are almost identical in years 1 and 2, and students admitted to either program have always been free to switch to the other one, prior to entering year 3. Even if Photonics is eliminated as a separate program, students with an interest in this field will still be able to study it by choosing electives within the Physics program. However, the number of available optics and photonics electives may be reduced.
If you have questions about your application or the admission process, please email email@example.com, or call 519.884.0710 x3385.
If you would like more information about our Physics program, or you have questions about the changes to Photonics, contact the Chair of Physics and Computer Science, Dr. Marek Wartak at firstname.lastname@example.org.
