Last day to drop winter term course(s) with no tuition charge but remain registered (students must remain registered in at least one course) (students enrolled in programs where fees are based on course load)

Jan 11 - Jan 17Students enrolled in programs where fees are based upon courseload and who drop any course(s) in this period (even if replaced with another course or courses) will be assessed 10% of the tuition fee for the dropped course(s)

15Application to Graduate form (without late fee) is due for Spring Convocation
Jan 16 - Apr 15Late penalty fee applies on Application to Graduate forms received for Spring Convocation

If you drop a course (or courses) (students enrolled in programs where fees are based on course load) or withdraw from your graduate program (all graduate students) during this time period, you will be assessed a 55% tuition fee

Note: Students who withdraw from the graduate degree program must complete the Request to Withdraw from Graduate Studies Form

31Final day for submitting final (post-defence) copy of dissertation/thesis/MRP (if applicable) to Scholars Commons, and receipt in the Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies Office of signed program/defence documentation for possible full refund of winter term fees

Last day for withdrawing without failure from winter term courses or from the graduate program and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition assessed at 55%)

Note: Students who withdraw from the graduate program must complete the Request to Withdraw from Graduate Studies Form

From this date until the end of term, if you drop a winter term course (students enrolled in programs where fees are based on course load) or withdraw from your program (all graduate students), you will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100% tuition 

Note: Students who withdraw from the graduate program must complete the Request to Withdraw from Graduate Studies Form

1Last day to submit Application to Graduate form for Spring Convocation (fee and penalty fee apply); no forms will be accepted after this date
Apr 8 - Apr 28Final examination period (including Sundays) for undergraduate courses - students are advised not to make travel commitments during this time period
