1Last day to submit Application to Graduate form for Spring Convocation (fee and penalty fee apply); no applications will be accepted after this date

May 11 - May 15

If you drop a course or courses (students enrolled in programs where fees are based on course load) or withdraw from the graduate program during this period, there is no tuition charge.

Note: Students who withdraw from the graduate degree program must complete the Request to Withdraw from Graduate Studies form

11Spring term classes begin
15Last day to drop spring term course(s) with no tuition charge but remain registered (students must remain registered in at least one course) (students enrolled in programs where fees are based on course load)
May 16 - May 25Students enrolled in programs where fees are based upon courseload and who drop any course(s) in this period (even if replaced with another course or courses) will be assessed 10% of the tuition fee for the dropped course(s)
18Victoria Day, no classes

Final day for completion of all coursework, receipt of final grades and/or submitting final (post-defence) copy of dissertation/thesis/MRP (if applicable) to Scholars Commons, and receipt in the Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies Office of signed program/defence documentation to be eligible to graduate in spring term.

Last day to drop spring term course(s) (students enrolled in programs where fees are based on course load) or withdraw from the graduate program (all graduate students) at 10% tuition charge

Note:  Students who withdraw from the graduate program must complete the Request to Withdraw from Graduate Studies form

25Last day for late registration and for adding spring term courses
May 26 - Jul 7

If you drop a course (or courses) (students enrolled in programs where fees are based on course load) or withdraw from your graduate program (all graduate students) during this time period, you are responsible for 55% tuition

Note: Students who withdraw from the graduate program must complete the Request to Withdraw from Graduate Studies form

29Final day for submitting final (post-defence) copy of dissertation/thesis/MRP (if applicable) to Scholars Commons, and receipt in the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Office of signed program/defence documentation for possible full refund of spring term fees

Last day for withdrawing without failure from spring term courses or from the graduate program and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55%)

7Final day for submitting final (post-defence) copy of dissertation/thesis/MRP (if applicable) to Scholars Commons, and receipt in the Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies Office of signed program/defence documentation for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55%)

From this date until the end of  term, if you drop a spring term course (students enrolled in programs where fees are based upon coursework) or withdraw from your program (all graduate students), you will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100% tuition

Note: Students who withdraw from the graduate program must complete the Request to Withdraw from Graduate Studies Form

Aug 2 - Sep 1Late penalty fee applies on Application to Graduate forms received for Fall Convocation
3Civic Holiday, no classes
7Last day of spring term classes (see August 10 and 11 for make-up class schedule)
10Make-up spring term Monday class for Victoria Day (Monday May 18)
11Make-up spring term Wednesday class for Canada Day (Wednesday July 1) and for Monday class for Civic Holiday (Monday August 3). 
17Spring term ends
24Fall term classes begin for full-time MBA students - date to be confirmed

1Last day to submit Application to Graduate form for Fall Convocation (fee and penalty fee apply); no forms will be accepted after this date
30Final day for  submitting final (post-defence) copy of dissertation/thesis/MRP (if applicable) to Scholars Commons, and receipt in the Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies Office of signed program/defence documentation for possible full refund of fall term fees and to be eligible to graduate at Fall Convocation.
