Development and the Environment

An examination of the interface between development and the natural environment in the Global North and Global South. Cultural, political, economic and ecological perspectives are drawn upon to understand relationships between society and nature, development processes, and environmental change. Case examples may include climate change, forests, wildlife, water supply, hazardous waste, mining, agriculture, and energy production.
