This course explores the wide-ranging philosophies, theories, and practices of listening. The course explores listening across broad interdisciplinary perspectives and through a far-ranging body of scholarly literature. It intentionally takes a broad stroke through the disciplines (religion, culture, Psychotherapy, spiritual care, music, nature studies, cultural studies, anthropology, military, and more), seeking the similarities and independent nuances in the varied approaches and meanings of listening.
