Through a political ecology lens, the influence of social, political, and economic systems on nature-society relations is explored. Dominant themes include: the social construction of nature, sacred ecology and the co- production of Indigenous and scientific knowledge, degradation and marginalization, conservation and development, environmental conflict, social movements, and non-human nature.
