MU137° facilitates the acquisition of the Musical Skills sequence-level objectives in diatonic music of basic complexity. Melodies will include stepwise motion and skips within the tonic triad and dominant seventh chord, in the major and minor modes, in simple and compound meters, including note values as short as the division of the beat. Rhythmic exercises will include note values as short as the subdivision of the beat in simple and compound meters.
