Behavioral economics examines the realism of standard economic theory which posits that all economic actors (consumers, firms, governments) are fully rational and narrowly self-interested. This course surveys of some of the core and current topics in behavioral economics through presenting laboratory and field experiments and alternative behavioral theories.
