A course to provide an introduction to the study of aquatic environments through hands-on experience in the field. Theoretical principles underlying measurement techniques in limnology are emphasized. Topics covered include field safety, standard methods for characterization of lakes and ponds as well as wadable streams and sampling of aquatic biota.
