Analytical Chemistry II – Instrumental Analysis
0.5 Credit

Hours per week:
  • Lecture/Discussion: 3
  • Lab: 4

An introduction to the most commonly used instrumental analytical techniques, including atomic and molecular spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, chromatography, X-ray spectroscopy, NMR, electrochemical analysis and thermal analysis. Students will be taught the theoretical principles underlying these techniques, introduced to the key components of the instrumentation, and familiarized with the fundamental concepts of how to conduct and evaluate qualitative and quantitative instrumental analyses.
