Climate Change & Culture in the Anthropocene

Introduces anthropologists’ unique contributions to the study of human-caused climate change and efforts to respond to it. The course will address topics such as Indigenous, local and scientific knowledges, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, justice and responsibility, disasters and migration, forest conservation, carbon markets, renewable energy, activism, and the concept of the Anthropocene.
