Supervised Pastoral Education I: Theory and Practice of Spiritual Care

This course examines the dynamics that contribute to a healthy self-understanding for those training to provide spiritual care as a pastor, spiritual care practitioner, or psychotherapist. The course includes a unit of Supervised Pastoral Education (SPE) that provides opportunities for the student to gain skills in spiritual care and psychotherapy required for individual, family and group therapy.

- Students must be in good academic standing (i.e., not on academic probation).
- Co-requisites
- To be taken concurrently with TH664H
- Exclusions
- For students enrolled in MDiv and MDiv/MA (Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy and Public Faith and Spirituality fields) who have not taken TH562A.
