Supervised Pastoral Education I: Theory and Practice of Spiritual Care

This course examines the dynamics that contribute to a healthy self-understanding for those training to provide spiritual care as a pastor, spiritual care practitioner, or psychotherapist. The course includes a unit of Supervised Pastoral Education (SPE) that provides opportunities for the student to gain skills in spiritual care and psychotherapy required for individual, family and group therapy.

Students must be in good academic standing (i.e., not on academic probation).
Co-requisites
To be taken concurrently with TH664H
Exclusions
For students enrolled in MDiv and MDiv/MA (Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy and Public Faith and Spirituality fields) who have not taken TH562A.
