Social Entrepreneurship in Education
0.25 Credit
- Lecture/Discussion: 1.5
This course is a focused introduction to social entrepreneurship in education designed with the assumption that you have little or no business or enterprise experience. Social entrepreneurs are people who develop innovative ideas to foster positive social change. Using a Design Lab methodology, students will be exposed to the full process--from idea generation/opportunity (as social change agents) recognition through to venture creation--all in the context of social change. Although the focus is creating and designing a new social venture, the course will also serve those who are interested in working in schools or other organizations by orienting them towards thinking and acting more edupreneurially, entrepreneurially and creatively.
