This course introduces Teacher Candidates to the theoretical foundations and practical applications of curriculum integration to design relevant and meaningful instruction to support student learning and engagement at the Junior/Intermediate level. Teacher Candidates will examine models to assist designing and planning integrated instruction. Teacher Candidates will investigate an integrated learning cycle from its planning stages through to the final assessments and examine strategies for effective instructional and assessment to maximize student achievement and well-being. The course will place enhanced emphasis on content related to Teacher Candidates' teaching specialization subjects.
