A continuation of MU236°. MU237° facilitates the acquisition of the Musical Skills sequence-level objectives in diatonic and chromatic music of increased complexity. Melodies, in major and minor modes and in simple and compound meters, will include changing meters and hemiolas. Melodies will feature embellishing tones and tonicizations of related chords and modulations to closely related keys. Rhythmic exercises will include more complex subdivisions and exercises with changing meters within and between simple and compound meters.
