The Holocaust: The Genocide of European Jews

During the Second World War, the Nazis and their allies murdered two-thirds of the European Jewish population. This course asks why and how this genocide happened. Topics studied include: antisemitism; local collaboration and complicity; perpetrator motivation; the variety of Jewish responses to genocide; postwar justice; and the legacy of the Holocaust.
