Regular and singular perturbation methods. Calculus of variations including extrema and Hamilton’s principle. Mathematical formulation of classical mechanics.  May include: Lagrangian and Hamiltonian dynamics and constraints; introduction to control theory and the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation with applications.
