Critical Collective Social Work Practice

This course will provide an overview of critical community work, social policy and organizational practices and their integration. These collectivist practices are closely interrelated in their efforts to respond to individuals who are marginalized and oppressed. Existing practices will be critically analyzed including their impact upon social identity. This course will focus upon how to respond to the needs of service users and communities, their interconnections and how to bring about social inclusion and change.
