Indigenous Peoples within Canada

This course focuses on recent trends in the histiography of Indigenous peoples within Canada, from tales of since time immemorial to the (post) colonial gaze. A selected number of themes and approaches will be considered with special attention given to understanding how Indigenous History is (re)interpreted by a variety of disciplines and methodologies, and by both Indigenous and non-Indigenous historians.
