An examination of topics related to biomedical virology including but not limited to: virus structure and replication strategies, immune response to virus infections along with the role of vaccines and antiviral drugs in combating virus infections, the beneficial uses of viruses, the emergence, spread and extinction of viruses and current diagnosis and detection methods.
