Human Rights Violations: Advocacy and Analysis

This course introduces students to the relationship between scholarly research andadvocacy in the effort to end human rights violations. Students are introduced to thenature and history of international human rights advocacy and then they explore how ofinterdisciplinary research and social theory can help identify underlying root causes ofhuman rights violations that can be used to define and assess policies and strategies toaddress these violations.
