Taught in Spanish. The objective of this course is to provide students with the background to analyse and understand the rapid evolution/regression of Spanish and Latin American cultures in the 20th century. The movies presented will be studied in their social-historical context. A reading list based on a selection of pertinent literature on the course topics will provide the necessary background to understand the content of the films.
