An examination of language, belief, and social power through the topic of taboo language. We explore the sometimes-insidious cultural, religious, and psycho-social power of bad, impure, or "dirty" words, from profanities and sacrilegious curses, blasphemous speech, swears, censoring, slurs, and slip-ups, to forbidden topics, terms, and forms.
