Research and Professionalization Seminar
0.5 Credit

This course provides students with the opportunity to devise a proposal for their thesis under close supervision and to present and discuss their work at several stages of development. The proposal will include a literature review and methodological plan for their research project. The seminar also provides a forum for presentation and discussion of matters students will encounter in future graduate studies or later work as professional criminologists. Topics covered include grant writing, scholarship application processes and proposals, graduate school application policies, publishing, and teaching.
