Understanding Addiction and Shame

This course prepares students to meet and work with people who are struggling with addictions and their families. Students will be able to recognize and follow up with individuals who are addicted, codependent, or struggling with shame. At the completion of this course students will have a basic knowledge of addictions and can proceed to further study and/or certification as addiction counselors.
