Transnational Social Work Practice

This course explores and critically analyses the impact of globalization and transnationalism on social work theories and practice. Social work practice concepts like social justice, culture, oppression, advocacy and power are germane to these discussions. The course enhances students' knowledge of international social work, explore best practices on how to respond to globalization locally and transnationally and evaluate the diverse ways that social work is practiced around the world.
