Music Psychotherapy Placement III

This course is a one-day-per week placement at an off-campus facility. Students continue to acquire clinical experience in music psychotherapy with groups and individual clients. Students learn how to sustain collaborative and respectful working relationships with interdisciplinary health care professionals. They learn methods of clinical documentation, participate in professional development activities, and how to practice ethically according to relevant professional standards. Students continue to integrate clinical musicianship within a music psychotherapy framework in order to structure and facilitate the psychotherapeutic process and to apply the safe and effective use of self with clients. 

Weekly supervision is provided by a qualified and experienced music therapist.
