Specialization Area Exam (SAE)
The Specialization Area Exam (SAE) is the second of two required Area Exams for doctoral students and aims to prepare students in a focused area of specialization for teaching and research. The SAE reading list of 70-80 texts will cover, indepth, both the canonical and non-canonical texts in a field necessary for the student's dissertation work.
