Mobile devices such as cellphones and tablets present unique affordances and constraints for critical game designers. In this course students will explore mobile game design features, such as touch, portability, accelerometer-based interactions, location-specific events, and collaborative experiences. These design affordances will be explored in the context of critical game design, with lessons and projects focused on using mobile games to make arguments.
