Professional Learning Seminar I
0.5 Credit

Hours per week:
  • Lecture/Discussion: 3

This course engages Teacher Education Candidates (TECs) in ongoing professional reflection and inquiry. TECs meet to share questions and reflections emerging from their professional practice, to engage in collaborative inquiry and problem solving, and to construct professional knowledge as a community of learners. The Professional Learning Seminar (PLS) has been deliberately designed to bridge theory with the practical demands of teaching. PLS I, which occurs in Year One of the BEd program, focuses on core themes (reflection, collaboration, inquiry).
